Pragati Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. Anjar was established in the year 2019. It was established by the leading women of the city and taluka and representatives of NGOs to resolve the difficulties faced by women related to the slums of Anjar taluka in accessing banks.

Money is the first necessity for doing any business. Whether that money is collected through savings from nationalized banks, private banks, finance companies or people, this amount is obtained in the form of loan and to start their own independent business, the needy people should create a sense of saving among them and save more and more. With the hope that the saved amount will be useful to other people around them on a cooperative basis, Pragati Savings and Loan Cooperative Society Ltd. was established. The members of this society, which has 90% women members, save according to their ability and the amount collected from the savings is given as a loan to the needy members.
